About the Role:
As an HR Generalist, you’ll be responsible for managing day-to-day HR operations, supporting global HR initiatives, and ensuring a positive, professional employee experience. This is a hands-on, in-office role that supports teams across the U.S. and internationally, while also managing general office operations and executive admin support.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Operations
- Provide HR support across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with local employment laws in the US, Canada, UK, and Australia (or relevant countries)
- Assist in international onboarding and offboarding to ensure a seamless employee experience
- Stay updated on HR best practices
HR Strategy & Employee Experience
- Support scaling HR processes and balancing structure with agility.
- Partner with leadership to implement people policies, benefits, and performance management frameworks.
- Act as a trusted advisor for employees and managers on HR-related matters.
- Maintain and enhance Bamboo HRIS systems, tracking key HR metrics.
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Collaborate with hiring managers to support recruiting efforts, from sourcing to onboarding.
- Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires, including global employees.
HR Compliance & Policies
- Draft, implement, and communicate HR policies and employee handbooks.
- Ensure data privacy and compliance with employment regulations across regions.
- Maintain accurate employee records and reporting.
Culture & Engagement
- Assist in developing employee engagement initiatives to foster a high-performing team.
- Support learning & development programs as the company grows.
Administrative
- Coordinate and set up in-office luncheons and meetings as needed
- Greet and assist visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional office environment
- Manage general office operations, including supply ordering and mail distribution
- Provide administrative support to the executive management team as needed, including scheduling, document preparation, and filing
Requirements:
- 3-6 years of HR experience, ideally in a fast-paced startup or scaling company
- Experience with HR operations in SaaS or tech companies
- Flexibility to support teams across different time zones
- Strong understanding of HRIS systems and benefits administration
- Ability to wear multiple hats and adapt to evolving business needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with BambooHR and Lever
- Knowledge of M&A integrations and global workforce expansion (a plus)
- Certifications like SHRM-CP, PHR, or CIPD (a plus)
